Alpine Sports offers professional ski and snowboard tuning designed to restore performance, improve safety, and keep your equipment running at its best in Breckenridge conditions. Our technicians use Wintersteiger machinery and can customize edge angles, wax selections, and base structure patterns to match the customer’s ability level, snow conditions, and specific preferences.
A Full Tune is our most comprehensive service. It includes P-tex base repair for scratches or gouges, a precision base grind to flatten and restore base structure, a full edge sharpening with bevel adjustments if requested, and a machine hot wax. This service brings skis or snowboards back to like-new glide and control.
A ¾ Tune includes a base grind, edge sharpening, and hot wax, but does not include P-tex work. It’s ideal for equipment that still has a healthy base but needs a performance refresh.
This service provides a full edge sharpening—including side and base edges where appropriate—and a fresh machine hot wax. It is designed for customers who don’t need base work but want improved grip and glide.
A quick machine hot wax service to enhance glide and restore speed. This is best for maintaining performance between tunes or adjusting to changing snow temperatures.
Base welds are used to repair deeper damage, including core shots. We melt in a high-strength material that bonds to the ski or snowboard base, restoring both durability and performance. Pricing varies by size but typically begins at $10.
We mount bindings according to manufacturer specifications and the skier’s BSL (boot sole length), DIN settings, weight, ability level, and preferred stance. All mounts include a full safety release test. Only one of the user’s ski boots is required for mounting or testing.
For existing bindings, we adjust DIN, forward pressure, toe height, and overall setup to match the skier’s boot and ability level, followed by a full function test. Again, we only need one boot.
All tuning services dropped off by 6:00 PM are guaranteed to be completed by 8:00 AM the following morning. This policy applies to all tunes, waxes, base repairs, and binding services unless otherwise noted during peak-season surges or major repair requests.
Alpine Sports offers a high level of customization for skiers and riders looking for performance tuning. Customers may request:
• Specific edge angles (e.g., 1° base / 2° side, race bevels, or freeride-specific angles).
• Specialty waxes, including temperature-specific, universal, cold-weather, or race wax options.
• Custom base structure patterns tailored for powder, all-mountain, or icy conditions.
Our techs can help recommend the best settings based on snow conditions in Breckenridge, skier ability, and type of terrain.
At drop-off, our staff inspects skis or boards to determine the appropriate tune and alert customers to any major damage requiring repair beyond standard service.
For any binding mount, remount, adjustment, or safety test, only one boot is required to correctly set DIN, forward pressure, and toe height.
All binding services follow industry-standard testing procedures to ensure proper release and retention.
Customers may request additional services such as deburring, detuning tips/tails, hand waxing upgrades, polishing, or race-specific preparation.
